AVT-11 - Polaris Ranger Crew Cab

The use of the ATVs are divided into three categories: preplanned special event, emergency response- on road,and emergency response- off road. The ATV will be available by contacting Field Services Division, at 610-344-5000 for Preplanned Special Events and by contacting the 9-1-1 center for Emergency Use- On Road and Emergency Use- Off Road.

EMS-2 Mass Casualty Pod Trucks

The Department maintains and operates a 2009 Chevrolet Kodiak 4X4 crew cab truck equipped with a Stellar lift system to transport pods up to 12 feet in length. The truck has a pod that is loaded with specialized equipment to treat up to 60 patients. The truck is capable of utilizing other types of pods including flat beds, dump bodies, or the County’s 35 KVA generator. The truck was purchased as part of a Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Task Force project that gives the five county region the capability to treat up to 1,000 patients. The truck is equipped with both county and state 800 MHz voice radios to ensure interoperable communications.

MSEC-Medical Surge Equipment Cache

This 2008 Pace American 28 foot dual axle trailer contains medical equipment needed to establish a medical support shelter for 46 non-critical patients utilizing an existing facility (i.e. school gymnasium, social hall) within the community.

EMS1 - Ford Expedition

The Department operates a 2006 Ford Expedition that is equipped with appropriate emergency communications equipment to provide personnel and equipment transportation for emergency responses, meetings and training events.

POD 61 - POD 61

POD 61 is a 12 foot pod that carries mass casualty equipment and supplies to treat up to 50 patients. It is deployed to Kimberton Fire Company where it can be transported by the Kimberton Pod Truck or any other truck with a Stellar lift system

MCT1,MCT2 - Mass Casualty Trailers

The County maintains two trailers for use in major incidents. One is deployed to the Cochranville Fire Company to provide mass casualty equipment and supplies in the southern part of the county. The other is kept at the Government Services Center (GSC) where it holds deployment equipment used by the Chester County Emergency Medical Services Strike Team

Training1 - Training Ambulance

The 1987 Ford ambulance is used to train Emergency Medical Technician students in how to properly load patients and then care for patients in a moving ambulance.
