Our Emergency Medical Training (“EMT”) program is designed to train the lay person in emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment.
This class will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and every other Saturday. Uwchlan Ambulance Corps prides itself on offering a “traditional” style course, which provides each student with lecture-based instruction as well as weekly hands-on practical skills training. This style of instruction is always praised by our students, as it allows them to maximize competency while increasing their confidence in emergency situations. All students are required to complete clinical time at our station or at one of our affiliated clinical partners. Successful completion of the course qualifies the student to sit for the examination of National Registry Emergency Medical Technician. Students also have the opportunity to achieve certification in Basic Life Support CPR and Emergency Vehicle Operator.
The next course is starting on February 24, 2019.
